Superior Search & Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit emergency response organization headquartered in Houghton, Michigan. We serve all citizens and visitors in Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon Counties and deploy at the request of law enforcement agencies.
Superior Search & Rescue provides specialized services such as ground search and rescue; UAV support and mapping; disaster relief services; Event Emergency Response Planning. We are a fully self-sufficient, NIMS compliant team, including incident management team (IMT) capabilities, logistics and communications.
Our services are free to requesting agencies and are staffed by volunteers who are trained professionals in their fields. There is never a charge to anyone requesting our support.
